I’ve been teaching my son, Leo, to love math and science. This site displays some of the cool, interesting, or just plain fun math and science stuff we do together.

In addition to being a parent, I’m also CTO of Cancer Commons, and a consulting professor in the Symbolic Systems program at Stanford. In these roles I do various sorts of research on scientific reasoning and discovery in both humans and machines.

Incidentally, this is my second blog. I did my first one, the Diary of an Insane Cell Mechanic, before “blogging” was even a word!
